Par 3 Shootout
The Par 3 Shootout is an annual golf fundraiser put on by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Taking place at the Fox Creek Golf Club in Dieppe, NB, the Par 3 Shootout offers a unique opportunity to play on a private course, a chance to win fabulous hole-in-one prizes at every single hole, and thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs!
In 2021, participants and supporters came together to fundraise $91,855.00. As with all of our fundraising initiatives, all of the money raised stays in New Brunswick and contributes to life-saving and health-promoting services for New Brunswickers.
Teams begin their day by gathering with their team and settling into their power carts. The tournament opens with a speech from our CEO, thanking sponsors and participants and bringing attention to just how much this tournament means to our foundation. Without the support of our community members, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, we would not be able to succeed in our mission.
The tournament then begins with a Shot Gun Start (rain or shine) and teams kick-off to begin their 18-hole round of par 3's. The closest to the hole winners from every hole, plus seven names that were drawn during the opening remarks are then challenged with the Final Shootout!
To wrap up the day, teams are invited to a private dinner accompanied by a silent/live auction! The Par 3 Shootout is one of our most favoured events not only by the participants but by our staff and volunteers as well. It is an event that brings a community of supporters together and allows us a more intimate opportunity to get to know them all.
