He became a key contributor for the team, highlighted by a standout performance on April 8, 1999, when he recorded six points (four goals and two assists) in a road game against the New York Islanders, the first Canadien since Joe Malone in 1917 to reach that mark. Dingman built his NHL career around toughness, energy, and being a team player rather than scoring. He played over 300 NHL games with teams including the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, and Tampa Bay Lightning. His most notable achievement came with the Avalanche during the 2000–01 season, when he was part of the team that won the Stanley Cup. Dingman often played in a fourth-line role, where his job was to bring physicality, forechecking pressure, and momentum shifts rather than offensive production.

Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, best known as one of the three Jims on the hit show Shoresy, built a reputation long before stepping in front of the camera. His nickname was born during his AHL days, inspired by his wild, unmistakable hairstyle and a tendency to laugh while trading punches on the ice.

Mirasty’s career took him beyond North America for a stint in European professional hockey, adding another chapter to his journey through the sport. He eventually returned home, where his final season with significant professional ice time came in 2014–15 in the LNAH, closing out a career defined as much by personality as by physicality.
