Meet your Stroke Navigator

Updated: Oct 28, 2022

Jannick Thériault is the Stroke Navigator covering in-person visits in the Greater Moncton and Saint John region. She will be offering services in other areas of the province virtually or by phone. Here is a little more information about her!

Background and Certifications:

Jannick has 17 years of clinical experience promoting health and wellness for older adults living with challenges related to aging in such roles as Adult Day Program Supervisor and Recreation Coordinator. These roles have given her the abilities to; design and implement programs based on client needs and interests and identify and reduce/remove barriers to participation in healthy leisure and community activities.

Understanding that community connections remain important at any age, Jannick would invite community partners within nursing homes to ensure that residents still felt like they were able to be a part of their community.

Having a passion about learning and improving herself, Jannick obtained her certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) in 2017. This certification allows Jannick to work with a wide spectrum of client populations using leisure, recreation and play as modalities to assist individuals in gaining quality of life and the ability to engage in meaningful leisure activities.
